The Florida Department of Health has a new interactive Web map showing where in each county individuals may get a Swine Flu vaccine. Here’s the site.
One problem: It will not be entirely up to date until the end of the week.
Meanwhile, five more deaths attributed to swine flu were recorded in Florida on Oct. 7, bringing the total to 109. They include a 10-month-old Sarasota County girl and a 15-year-old New Smyrna Beach high school boy.
Flagler County schools and the Flagler County Health Department are offering free regular flu vaccines, not swine flu vaccines, at Bunnell Elementary School on Oct. 13 and 14 from 3:30p.m. to 5:30p.m., and at Wadsworth Elementary School on Oct. 20 and 21, from 3:30p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Directions: The Bunnell Elementary Vaccine Clinic will be held in the gymnasium at the back of the campus. Parking is located in the backfield and can be accessed from Howe Street. The Wadsworth Vaccine Clinics will be held in the new cafeteria located on Belle Terre Parkway. Parking will be in the lot in front of Buddy Taylor Middle School.)
More information is available from the Flagler County Health Department at 437-7350, x2226 or from Katrina Townsend, Director of Student Services, 437-7526, x 2301.
